Established in 1996, SQUARED OFF has evolved from a suburban basement punk band to well-known blue collar street punk band based out of Chicago. With a direct no-joke intelligent lyrics, catchy sing along choruses and a give it their all stage performance, SQUARED OFF has become one of the most under rated and undiscovered Midwestern band. With each new record produced, SQUARED OFF has managed to capture the essence and energy that rivals their stage performance. And after 20 years of playing basements, local dive bars, small and large venues and touring, SQUARED OFF has become a very hardworking band and masters of the D.I.Y. ideology. Merchandising of t-shirts, patches, koozies, work shirts, buttons, scarves, producing and recording their own music, these are the reasons why SQUARED OFF has been able to survive for all these years. With influences ranging from Drop Kick Murphy’s, Street Dogs, Hudson Falcons, Cock Sparrer, Naked Raygun and more, SQUARED OFF has taken these influences to become a working class themed “Chicago style” band. A voice for the common people, that’s what they would like to be considered as, Squared Off’s music and message connects to all of those who struggle with modern world every day.
